Ronnies House Honors the Legacy of Vice President Josefa Salinas at the 3rd Annual Reentry Keys Summit.
Long Beach, CA – May 20, 2023 – Ronnies House, a leader in justice reform, is honored to announce the 3rd Annual Reentry Keys Summit. This event symbolizes a transformational junction of economic empowerment and healing strategies. This year’s summit holds special significance as it is dedicated to the memory of the late Josefa Salinas, our esteemed Vice President of the Board, of Ronnie’s House who lost her courageous battle with cancer in 2022.
Josefa Salinas, affectionately known as the “Angelita De La Noche,” was more than a captivating voice on the California radio waves for over 30 years. Her profound influence extended far beyond the radio, permeating the hearts of many through her relentless advocacy work in justice reform. An instrumental figure within Ronnies House, her indomitable spirit continues to fuel our mission, and this summit is a testament to her enduring vision of creating a more equitable society.

The 3rd Annual Reentry Keys Summit is designed to weave economic empowerment strategies with healing methodologies, offering justice-impacted individuals the necessary tools for successful reintegration into society. We firmly believe in the power of collective action to significantly reduce recidivism, guiding our loved ones toward a prosperous future.
As a former probation officer, Josefa deeply understood the transformative potential of second chances. This belief underpinned her invaluable contribution to establishing Ronnie’s House in 2016. Her tireless efforts in justice reform and mental health, including the successful hosting of our previous two summits, speak volumes of her passionate commitment to change.
While we mourn the loss of Josefa’s vibrant spirit and wisdom, we celebrate her monumental legacy. Her life and work serve as a constant source of inspiration for us, encouraging us to strive for the seemingly impossible, to trust in the power of change, and to pursue impactful changes in the world.
In tribute to Josefa’s groundbreaking work, the summit will facilitate dialogue and collaborations among Reentry Providers, Government Agencies, and the Justice Impacted community.
The first day of the summit, June 21st, 2023, will be virtual and the second day June 22, 2023 will be at the Grand Event Center in Long Beach, CA.
